GRANITO DE ORO

El mundo es especial. Sí, cada rincón ¿no creéis? Cada ciudad, cada playa, cada montaña, cada punto de la superficie tiene algo que la hace especial, estoy totalmente convencida.  Pero siempre tenemos lugares más especiales que otros, lugares a los que volveremos mil veces más, lugares a los que no conocemos pero soñamos con ir, lugares que crees que solo tú conoces, y lugares que te guardan secretos.

El post de esta semana es sobre uno de esos lugares que crees que no existe…hasta que lo ves, uno de esos lugares que te quita el aliento, y de esos a los que prometes volver a ir.

Esta pequeña Isla se llama Granito de Oro, y os prometo que si alguna vez tenéis la oportunidad de ir, os enamoraréis igual que yo. Está situada en el Pacífico, al sur de la provincia de Veraguas (Panamá). Su afloramiento volcánico forma una estructura que sostiene la arena blanca y crea una estructura de arrecife, que alberga una gran variedad de vida marina hermosa. Es el acuario de Coiba, con fácil acceso a las anguilas, tortugas y grandes bancos de peces. Realicé snorquel por primera vez y sentí felicidad extrema al poder estar con tortugas carey, infinidad de especies tropicales, tiburones de arrecife, medusas, y muchísimas más especies marinas. Un paraíso natural que espero que sepamos conservar, pues la biodiversidad que alberga es enorme.

The world is so so special!! Yes, every place, do not you think? Every city, every beach, every mountain, every point on the earth´s surface has something that makes it special, I am totally convinced. But we have more special places than others, places that you go back a thousand times, places that do not know but where we dream to go, places that you think that you are the only one person that know it, and places that keep your secrets.

This week the post is on one of those places that you think does not exist ... until you see one of those places and it takes your breath away, and those that you promise go again.

This small island is called ‘Granito de Oro’, and I promise you that if you ever have the chance to go, you will fall in love with the paradise. Its volcanic outcrop forms a structure holding white sand and it creates a structure reef which hosts a variety of beautiful marine life. It is the aquarium of Coiba National Park, with easy access to eels, turtles and tropical fishes. I did snorquel for the first time and I felt happy to be with hawksbill turtles, countless tropical species, reef sharks, jellyfish happiness, and many more marine species. A natural paradise with a biodiversity that we must preserve!
