¿HAY CRISIS DE POLINIZADORES? // ¿POLLINATOR CRISIS?

Buenos días! ¿Os imagináis un planeta Tierra sin polinizadores? ¿Realmente nos damos cuenta y valoramos la importancia que tienen y los beneficios que nos aportan? Vivimos una época en la que la preocupación por el medio ambiente, la conservación, y ahora, el cambio climático, está cogiendo fuerza y empezando a ser objetivo en muchas políticas. 

Conocer es el primer paso para conservar por eso aprovechando que hoy es el Día Mundial del Medio Ambiente, quería dar un toque de atención sobre polinizadores con estas fotos de un Bombus terrestris polinizando flores de Romero (Rosmarinus officinalis).

Al menos tres cuartas partes de las especies vegetales cultivadas dependen de la polinización, y de éstos, más del 75% son polinizados por abejas. La aplicación de pesticidas y la fragmentación del hábitat han provocado la disminución de polinizadores nativos. Especies como Bombus terrestris se están utilizando para la venta a invernaderos en todo el mundo. El uso de otras especies las convierte en competidoras invasivas en cuanto escapan al medio con las especies nativas, desplazándolas, lo que conlleva además propagación de enfermedades e hibridaciones. 

Con esto quiero aportar un granito de arena en esa conservación y promover así el uso responsable de pesticidas y la conservación de hábitats.

Good morning people! Can you imagine a planet Earth without pollinators? Do we really realize and appreciate the importance they have and the benefits they do not bring? We live in a time when concern for the environment, conservation, and now, climate change, is gathering momentum and beginning to be a real objective in many policies.

Knowing is the first step to conserve, so taking advantage of today's World Environment Day, I wanted to give a touch of attention to pollinators with these photos of a Bombus terrestris pollinating Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) flowers.

At least three quarters of the cultivated plant species depend on pollination, and of these, more than 75% of bee pollinated sounds. The application of pesticides and the fragmentation of the habitat have caused the diminution of native pollinators. Species like Bombus terrestris are being used for sale a greenhouses around the world. The use of other species makes them invasive as they escape the environment with native species, displacing them, which also leads to the spread of diseases and hybrids.

With this I want to contribute with a grain of sand in its conservation and to promote the responsible use of pesticides and the conservation of habitats.
