MACROGLOSSUM STELLATARUM

Buenos días! Esta vez desde una casita en los Alpes Franceses! Visitar este lugar es algo que recomiendo a todo el mundo. La gente es encantadora, y el paisaje...tan verde como asombroso, montañas escarpadas y grutas con ríos. Coloridas flores y valles verdes. Como comenté por instagram, estoy disfrutando muchísimo y por supuesto haciendo fotos con mi inseparable! 

Antes de iros contando poco a poco el viaje os dejo con esta sesión que realicé a una esfinge colibrí (Macroglossum stellatarum). El nombre científico indica el rasgo significativo de su larga probóscide, ya que "macroglosum" significa lengua grande, mientras que "stellatarum" hace referencia al género de plantas de las que se alimentan cuando son orugas. Esta libando unas flores de Lantana camara.
Vuelvo a la rutina, en el próximo post os cuento sobre mi viaje y por qué no he podido publicar estas últimas semanas, pero a partir de ahora, habrá post como siempre cada lunes! Eso sí, sigo por instagram todos los días y por twitter!

Good Morning! Today I write from a house in the French Alps! Visiting this place is something I recommend to everyone. Lovely people and the landscape ... as green as amazing, rugged mountains and caves with rivers. Colorful flowers and green valleys. As I said on instagram, I'm enjoying it very much and of course taking pictures with my inseparable!

Before you go slowly counting the trip I leave you with this session I made a hummingbird (Macroglossum stellatarum) Sphinx. The scientific name indicates the significant feature of its long proboscis, since "macroglosum" means large tongue, while "stellatarum" refers to the kind of plants they eat when they are caterpillars. The plant is Lantana camara.
Now I return to the routine. In the next post I will tell you about my trip and why I could not publish tha last few weeks, but from now on, there will always post as every Monday! I wait you in instagram and twitter each day!
